Counting Clouds provides business support, bookkeeping and payroll assistance to sole trader professionals and small businesses with a creative bent.
We’re based in Melbourne's inner city suburb of Fitzroy and although we mostly work with locals, we also have clients in other states.
Working mostly paperless and remotely and predominantly with Xero and ReceiptBank, we are also happy to have face-to-face consultations or coffee meetings as required.
The Counting Clouds team consists of certified and knowledgeable bookkeepers and accountants and a talented administrator. Our collective prior experiences and current extra-curricular activities include jewellery making, writing, hospitality, horticulture, social media, music management, film and TV, playing in bands, boutique retail and so much more.
As BAS agents we can lodge your BAS (Business Activity Statement) for GST (Goods and Services Tax), PAYGW (Pay As You Go Withholding) and PAYGI (Pay As You Go Instalment) with the ATO (Australian Tax Office) on your behalf.
Note: We aren’t tax accountants but we work with several accountants who we’re happy to refer you to if you are looking for Tax Return assistance.
Since 2013, Counting Clouds has worked with an ever-expanding and always-interesting list of small businesses. Our clients are graphic designers, illustrators, musicians, DJs, authors, artists, industrial designers, architects, fashion designers, festivals, stylists, TV and radio professionals, art dealers, record labels, florists, jewellers, food trucks, ceramicists, comedians, photographers, boutique shop fitters, crafters, event organisers, filmmakers and production companies, dance schools, performers, boutiques, PR professionals, not-for-profit arts organisations, venue bookers, cobblers, galleries …
...The list goes on but the unifying thread is that we are skilled in assisting talented, creative people with their business.
We are well-versed in the ways of the creative genius and are here to help. By the use of technology, automation and a few simple (but firm) processes, we can help you to get on the front foot accounts-wise, even thinking forward enough to keep money aside for superannuation, rainy days and the tax man.
